  1. What a great little bottle. I would love to have such an item. It's also a good composition. I would say, that one day when you have time, it would really be worth the effect to create a little vignette with wood and perhaps a couple old items, perhaps such as an old key or an old hat etc., and create a scene that evokes some sort of story from the past. Seeing this old bottle just gets my brain cells all cranked up! :-D

  2. Wow, what a cool little bottle. Is this shot with the fisheye? The bottle seems a bit distorted, but maybe not enough for a fisheye. My mind feels it wants it to be totally distorted or not at all. This shot feels like with a change in viewpoint (a little lower) it would perhaps straighten things up and give the bottle a better portrait. I agree with Eury that a bit of a setting would really liven it up. That cork looks awesomely old and well preserved for its age!

  3. What a beautiful bottle!! Interesting angle, but I do think a lower angle, maybe even straight on, would allow us to see more of that embossed design/logo. Amazing that it's that old and that the cork hasn't totally disintegrated!

  4. Thank you ladies for your comments, About 200yards from where I live there is an old Victorian tip. People come from miles around to dig it.(they're not supposed to). and often leave old bottles lying around. This is where this one is from. It is rumoured it's an old hospital tip as many bottle found there are medicine bottles. This one contained something that was supplied from the next town to us.and has the name of the supplier and town embossed on it. It was not taken with the fisheye as I had been to a funeral and didn't arrive home until late, so I only had an hour to find and take something.

  7. Such a beautifull bottle. And so old that it makes me wonder what the story is. Was it your great grandfathers, did you find it when you moved in to your house.

  8. What a great bottle, it is surprising how much of it is taken up with the text. The old tip sounds fun :-)
