Day 7 The official picture. Christmas decoration dismantling
I had to leave my wife to do all this dismantling and she had to abandon it to go to a grandson's birthday party. There's always tomorrow. The photo over the fire is one that Chris did, of the 12 Grandchildren, for our Golden wedding last year. The picture on the right is one of my oil paintings. All the boxes have to go into the loft, eventually.
The fisheye makes the room look smaller than it is.
Talk about the opportune time to get ill and have the wife put everything away. (just kidding!! ). I have to say that I hope you will in a future post (without the fish-eye) take a picture of your painting and post it along with your daily picture as (although I can only see if from the side); it looks amazing and has such lovely colors. Nice to see where you live too. I guessed the fish -eye was making this room very long and narrow! :-)
ReplyDeleteLooks nice and cozy. I too have red sofas, which I love but which are about to be reupholstered after many, many years. I'm guessing this room had a very warm, welcoming Christmassy feel to it last week! I'm glad you're continuing with the challenge. Oh, and even in dismantling stage, it looks pretty neat (unmessy) to me.
ReplyDeleteWell I had fun checking out your lounge, would love to have seen the before shot :-) Your couches look very comfy, I too would like to see your painting.
ReplyDeleteCozy looking living room and I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who leaves the packing away of Christmas decorations till as late as possible. That fish eye is sure handy for indoor shots.
ReplyDeleteI love the way a fisheye can include the whole room, even if it distorts the dimensions. It really has a cool feeling encompassing the whole thing in one sweeping glance. I have yet to get the boxes back down from the roof to do our tree. It's still blinking in the corner of the lounge. Apathy is a great procrastinator! Although starting work again is just as good at that!
ReplyDeleteInteresting to see what a fisheye does to the dimensions of a room.
ReplyDeleteOur boxes made it two floors up yesterday but they still need to be stored properly as some parts of the decorations are still up like the stall.
So does this mean that you took the photo from upstairs in bed? It looks like you were above. I hope you feel 100% soon.
